We are excited to share that our 3rd Treasure Hunt raised £2,154 and along with all other money raised, the friends of Marple Memorial park are going to buy new equipment in the Infants Play Area, and the award of a £1,000 grant from the Autotrader Community Fund, Friends of the Park are pleased to announce that a new Ocean See-Saw has been ordered and is due to be installed in late September / early October 2018. We are so pleased the Treasure Hunt was a great success!

The Marple Fire Fighters have organised a charity 10K Race on Saturday 8th September. You don’t have to be a great runner to participate, runners of all levels are welcome. The run starts at Rose Hill, at the beginning of the Middlewood Way. It is advised for runners to gather from 9:30am and you will need to register before 10.30am if registering on the day. The approximate start time is 11am.

For example, the Nationwide index showed that in June, annual house price growth had slowed to a five-year low.
