As the working year comes to an end, I thought it would be apt to give everyone a breakdown of what the market has been doing in the SK6 postcode for the last 12 months.
It has been a year obviously massively disrupted by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, with everyone shutting up shop in March, however coming out of the months of June and July the market picked up considerably.
I know here in Marple we have been flat out with both sales and rentals, especially with buyers and landlord alike looking to take advantage of the stamp duty break that runs until March 31st 2021.
In the SK6 4,5,6 and 7 postcodes between the 1st of January and the 23rd of December 187 properties came to market for rental and of those 139 have been let. Across on the sales side 686 house graced the Marple market, with 525 owners happy with the offers they received.
Even during the last few weeks of 2020, the market has not slowed, with the Marple Branch agreeing 7 sales last week, so no let up for Christmas!
Hopefully 2021 brings better news for everyone, and this time next year we are writing about how amazing the year has been!
